The Very Best Lifetime Movies
Ever wonder what titles have made it to the list of best Lifetime movies? Well, you don't have to wait and wonder any longer. Here are the flicks that have caused Lifetime fans to Tweet, cheer, jeer, laugh, and cry.
Touching Wild Horses
When you are just in the mood for a true "3 hanky" tear- fest then you should curl up with this story of a boy, horses and an island. In this Lifetime movie a 12 year old kid loses his dad and sister in an auto accident. His mom has been left comatose and on life support. It is decided that the boy needs to live with his only other relative, an aunt who lives on an island with an astonishing population of 2. The storyline revolves around the young boy and the connection that develops between him and the horses.
I Me Wed
Okay, maybe the title is less than grammatically correct but this chick-flick has more than enough viewer appeal to make up for the syntax errors. You can not help but love a movie with a plot like this one. The main character just has not found her Prince Charming and decides to become engaged to "herself" as a way of dealing with her interfering friends and personal frustrations. Of course you can guess that in the midst of those unique wedding plans she meets the guy of her dreams. What is a bride to be expected to do in this situation?
The Carolyn Warmous Story
A great tale based on real life events. Carolyn Warmous is the pampered child whose rich father grants her every request. This femme fatale is clearly disturbed, but that goes unchecked for years, and she becomes a high school teacher. An ill fated affair leads to murder, but while the story is riveting the guilt of Carolyn's lover remains very questionable. Did he manipulate Carolyn, another master manipulator, into killing his wife? You will want to watch this more than once.
To Be Fat like Me
This is an interesting probe into the feelings and reactions of people's prejudices relating to those who are overweight. A young high school senior uses a professional "fat suit" to help her create a documentary about the problems and conflicts facing obese teens.
Mother Trucker: The Diana Kilmury Story
A rowdy, tough Mama who can handle double clutching, big rigs the Mafia and the Teamsters Union with one hand tied behind her back.
A Fare to Remember
This is not a movie that everyone will love, but if you want to be entertained without having to figure out the plot, this is the one to watch. Malcolm Jamal-Warner portrays a taxi driver who has to drive an up and coming businesswoman from Seattle, Washington to LA. Who would imagine that these two polar opposites would fall in love?
